The Preacher

Become Preacher and spread the Word Of God in our town! In addition to getting paid well writing for rich people you can get really good collections in church if you put your rhethorical skill to good use.
Build a confessional and gather new possibilities by learning your "clients'" secrets. The holy church will also give you your share of the lucrative indulgence business.
As preacher courting a woman will be much easier because you can impress her with your own poems and assure her of your love in the most sophisticated words.

The Preacher (master titels)
1. Lay Preacher (Church)
2. Student (Church)
3. Preacher (+Abbey)
4. Local Councillor (+Abbey)
5. Pastor (+Cathedral)
6. Priest (+Cathedral), +1AP

Level 1 (Church): As a priest you will start with a small and rather spartanic excuse for a church. It is very recommendable to immediately start producing poems as they promise huge profits at this level.
By the way, it seems that frequently paper is very cheap at the market, so if it is clearly beneath the normal price just go on and grab what you can. The priest also offers a good way of advancing and trainig your skills quickly.
Every confession will provide you with an additional AP which is a very rare and sought after thing when starting a new game. You can also produce the paper Talents I which is less lucrative but at the same time a nice way for a quick improvement of your skills...

Level 2 (Abbey): The upgradings of the church usually take a bit longer than for other institutions or shops. It also costs much more, on the other hand however level 1 comes with a lot of advantages.
As soon as the church has been upgraded to an abbey all available rooms should be used. This will result in several additional sources for money, like the participation at the indulgence business or organising church services with the collected money ending up in your own pocket...
New products in the abbey are the Tirade of Hate and the Letter from Rome. Both documents can be used to hurt your opponents, the profits from sale though are only mediocre...

Level 3 (Cathedral): The hugest building in "The Guild" surely must be the cathedral. This building is very expensive and takes a long time to be surrected but the new products, the Craftsman's Degree and the paper Talents II really are very lucrative.
The additional "extra incomes" also grow rapidly and at a town celebration you can earn about 20.000 from the tourists who will happen to also drop in at the cathedral...

Products and their effects: - Poems: increase the reputation when recited to the opposite sex; good for convincing a potential husband/wife or for use in the battle for offices
- Talents I: raises a randomly selected skill
- Tirade of Hate: worsens the relationship between 2 people you choose
- Letter from Rome: the recipient of this imitation will lose reputation with 3 randomly selected office holders of his religion
- Craftsman's Degree: raises the reputation with your own employees
- Talents II: just like Talents I but raising 2 skills at a time; unfortunately, as with Talents I, sometimes a fully developed might be chosen where there is no room for improvement thus "wasting" the skill point...

Raw Material:
