Were you born to be a hero? Are you concerned about our city's security?
Become Guardsman! The ever rising rate of crime must be stopped. As City
Guard you patrol our streets and survey suspicious people.
Check companies and shops for righteousness and get paid for it by the city.
Train your subordinates and extinguish crime at the root by taking out
thieves' and robbers' hideouts with swoop raids.
MastersīTitels:
1. Corporal (Guard House)
2. Sergant (Guard House)
3. Lieutenant (+Town Watch)
4. First Lieutenant (+Town Watch)
5. Captain (+Garrison)
6. Major (+Garrison), +1AP
The Guardsman is the only one able to use great sword and crossbow.
These are the most efficient weapons available in "The Guild". This
should assure that robbers and thieves of the same fighting skill will be
defeated.
Source of money will be mostly routine jobs, e.g. preventing a raid by a
group of thieves while on patrol will result in a nice reward. Another
promising approach is to check your opponents' shops for their
righteousness.
You can do that by simply sending a subordinate. You can
repeat this procedure several times, following the old rule, "once a
criminal, always a criminal".
With subordinates trained in fighting as well as night & mist, you can
even raid and take over Thieves' Guilds and castles to
increase your personal wealth. In order to be able to do this you will
have to gather information on your target. The higher the target's level
the harder it will be to get sufficient information.
A castle needs to be spied on for a full 100% in order for
an attack to be successful. Otherwise the defenders will have a good
chance to deceive and reject the attackers who will have to retreat. The
newly conquered building should first of all become your property.
You can decide on its future later on. You can sell it or employ a master who
will go on with business for the new owner. When the respective master
degrees have been earned you can take over business yourself.
If choosing being City Guard on an avocational basis, you can also
frequently patrol the area around your own shops in order to keep greedy
people away from your property, or - as described above - destroy
conquered Thieves' Guilds so there is peace once and for all...
