On the beginning some of the gamers, me included, will have hard time to find important functions. So here is an overview of some of them.

I. - The border at the upper edge of the screen:

Functions:

(1) The coat of arms: Here you will find about your family and your family tree. You can check your talents and if you are married, then will show also your partner values. A very important function for your children. Here you can determine education and a later study for your kids. You do not want your kids to grow up stupid, do you? They will be your successors!

(2) The Privileges: The most important function for handling your family, competition, offices, marriage etc. A list of all the privileges and theirs functions you will find under separate section:  A List of the Privileges

(3) AP: Show comparison between your dynasty and competition. Money, ownership, offices etc.

II. - Main Navigation:

Functions:

(4) Fast time advance: Click on the clock to activate fast time advance. Click again to return to game speed. In addition, you can control the game speed with +/- between very fast or very slow.

(5) City Information: The Coat of Arm will reveal all-important information about your hometown (Cologne shown).

(6) Compass/Mini map: Here you will find 2D mini map of the city. If you are a merchant you can see other cities (but only merchants). You can see here yours or competition buildings. Click on the building will move you to the area. The mini map will automatically pop up if you sending transport cart.

(7) Main option: Build: Here you can build your houses or businesses. If you hold a position in the city council, you may build wells or worker’s houses dependent on your rank. If you select one of yours building another option will show up. There you can repair, sell or extend your belongings, even destroy it! With this option you can make your business more productive or safer or add more value with addition to your garden etc. If you click on competition building you will find who own that and possibly you can make a bid on this property.

(8) Additional option: Office position: If you hold any position in city council you will find here your assignment in the city or country. Before you apply for the post try to get some of the members friendlier toward you. If you have selected building then you see an additional button for checking the inventory in that building (if business, warehouse or mine etc. is selected).

(9) The Finance: Here you see how much money you own in all currencies and what is your overall wealth (including buildings etc.).

(10) Inventory: You can carry some of the small items here. To each of six slots you can put up to 3 of the same items. For example children toys, documents, elixirs for your health etc.

(11) Cash: Your cash in native currency. Will not show what you own in different one
